Leica DMRBE Upright Microscope

The Leica DMRBE upright light microscope that was part of the old Leica TSCNT confocal microscope has been given a new lease of life and a new name, the Leica Stereology Microscope with the addition of a motorised xyz-stage and Stereo Investigator software for Design based Stereology, Image Analysis, and 2D Anatomical Mapping (purchased from SciTech). The Virtual Slice module also allows you to simply create and analyse high-resolution image montages. The microscope is set-up for transmitted light and basic fluorescence microscopy which includes standard DAPI, FITC and Rhodamine filters sets. Funding for the purchase of this microscope was provided by NHMRC Equipment Grant 2008 and Rebecca L. Cooper Medical Foundation Grant 2009.
