Targeting tumour-macrophage interactions
Supervisor + contact details:
Most anti-cancer therapies are designed to kill only the malignant cancer cell. However, solid tumours consist of neoplastic cells, non-malignant stromal cells and migratory immune cells. The interactions between cancer cells and the immune cells regulate tumour growth and spread.
This study aims to investigate the efficacy of novel derivatives of green tea in inhibiting the communication between cancer and immune cells as potential new treatments for cancer.
