Parkinson's Disease Laboratory

This group uses experimental models of neurodegenerative (and other) brain disorders to investigate aspects of the pathophysiology of these conditions while observing the response to pharmacological and surgical treatment strategies. Disorders currently being investigated are Parkinson's disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia.
This laboratory is also concerned with examining neuroprotective drugs treatments that attempt to slow down neurodegeneration associated with Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases.
