Welcome from the Bosch Young Investigators Coordinator
The research activity of the Bosch Institute takes place in over sixty laboratories, with major representation from the School of Medical Sciences that encompasses the disciplines of Anatomy & Histology, Pathology, Pharmacology and Physiology. Much of this research is carried out by our 200 talented young investigators, including students undertaking Honours, higher degrees (including PhDs & Masters), as well as our Postdoctoral trainees.
As part of our commitment to provide the best environment for the training of future biomedical researchers, our Young Investigators Organising Committee is in place to promote and facilitate the networking and collaboration of all Bosch young investigators over the course of their training. Some of the programs include:
- a New Investigators Program, to assist those new to research;
- monthly Bosch Young Investigators seminar series;
- annual Bosch Young Investigators Retreat, aimed at promoting career development; and
- annual Bosch Young Investigators Symposium.
At all these events the young investigators have ample opportunity to exchange science, as well as socialise with their peers, something which is introduced early with our annual harbour cruise.
It is a great pleasure and a most rewarding experience to be involved with the training of our young investigators. Promoting, developing and enhancing the "Bosch student experience" is one of the key priorities of the Institute, and it is this positive experience that will undoubtedly contribute to the future success of our young researchers.
