Welcome from the Executive Director

On behalf of the Bosch Institute it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Young Investigators section of the Bosch Institute's web site.

While the mission of the Bosch Institute is to perform high quality research into the normal functioning of the healthy human body as well as research into the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of human diseases, one of our major aims is to provide outstanding training for junior scientists in the intellectual, practical and ethical aspects of biomedical research.

The Bosch Institute is mindful of the enormous contributions that have been made by its Young Investigators over the years and acknowledge their role in ensuring the success of the Bosch Institute in achieving its objectives.

To facilitate your research the Institute provides core facilities in the areas of:

for which the Facilities pages on the site give full descriptions and access to online booking.

I would like to express my gratitude to the Bosch Young Investigators Organising Committee who manage and coordinate events including the Bosch Young Investigators seminar series, the Bosch Young Investigators Retreat; and the annual Bosch Young Investigators Symposium.

I am also particularly grateful to Associate Professor Frank Lovicu who has assumed the role of the Bosch Young Investigators Coordinator. Frank is a member of the Bosch Executive Leadership Group and regularly reports on the activities of the Young Investigators.

I trust you will embrace your time as a Young Investigator and wish you well for your association with the Bosch Institute.
